KENNEL CLUB BREED WATCH HEALTH MONITORING

The Kennel Club has introduced a Breed Watch Health Monitoring form that is now MANDATORY that those judging breeds that have Breed Watch points must complete. The form will be included in the back of the judging books, for an example of the form and instructions for completing the forms please follow the links below :

Chow Chow Breed Council

The Kennel Club Breed Watch Points that judges are required to pay particular attention to are :

- Signs of respiratory difficulty or distress (laboured or rapid breathing, excessive respiratory effort, respiratory noise)
- Excessively profuse coat
- Deep set eyes
- Eyelids not in normal contact with the eyeball, they are turned inwards or outwards
- Incorrect hind conformation and/or poor rear movement.
